Chromecast failures X2

I've purchased two separate Chromecast devices. Both work for a day or so then I get the message that there is no Chromecast device.  This is driving me crazy. Any ideas?

Are you powering them with a USB port on the TV? Try a separate power supply. Or it could be the router dropping the connection.

A new update did this to me. I downloaded the new GoogleCast app which fixed the problem.
