Avia App
« on: December 29, 2013, 11:47:46 PM »
Just downloaded the app then paid $2.99 for the Chromecast enablement. App seems to work great. Observations:
1.)  Streaming music from my device, although a couple of albums say the format is not supported. Sound quality is good

2.) Viewed photos from my device.  If you select a photo album, it will play a slide show.

3.) Played some videos taken from my phone, I do get some pauses, but the app warns me that it is a high bitrate video.

Initial reaction to the app is that it is worth the 2.99

The Avia app will have to do for now. I hope to have Chromecast functionality in VLC soon. I tried the Realplayer Cloud app also but don't really need cloud functionality. Avia cuts to the chase with local media playback. I just want better control. So I remain hopeful :-)

I haven't tried Avia yet, but am adding that to my list of apps to play with. I would love to see ChromeCast implementation included in VLC!
That would make for some real fun since I love VLC!
