remote control a chromecast session.

It is easy to cast from a PC to a TV using windows chrome browser.

If you are casting say ITV player, you can put video in full screen mode.

If you have a tablet/smartphone, it is easy to take control of PC using  Splashtop.

You use the phone/tablet like a trackpad on PC, move arrow, right/left click etc.

Dead easy to use and free on a local area network.  Will even work over internet for a modest fee.

Teamviewer will do similar (and more), but is a bit more intrusive, and leaves a nag screen that covers host pc when you exit which is annoying.  You have to stay attached until viewing session ends (or else get up and close nag screen manually on PC).

logmein will probably work as well.
