Slowly but surely Chromecast is growing into the potential that so many saw in Google's $35 media streaming dongle. Today we learn that Pandora is the latest app to include Chromecast functionality allowing you to Cast your favorite music from the service to play through your home entertainment system through your mobile device. Interestingly, Pandora is now the 6th app officially compatible with Chromecast and the 2nd addition after the initial release. It joines Netflix, YouTube and Hulu+ as the only non-Google content apps compatible with the dongle. More are expected however in the coming months.
From CNET -
"Overall, we're excited to work with more partners and bring more content to Chromecast," a Google spokeswoman told CNET. "It's only been a few months since launch, and we've since added Hulu Plus support, but the number of supported apps will only continue to grow as more developers bring their apps to Chromecast."CNET
A Pandora spokeswoman said the radio service works closely with leading partners like Google to achieve its mission of providing "the best personalized radio experience to our listeners, anytime, anywhere."
"We're proud of our most recent product developments and are pleased to offer Chromecast support at this time," she said.
