A major leak hit the interwebs today regarding Google's plans for new devices this fall. In addition to some new phones dubbed Pixel and Pixel XL will be a new version of the company's Chromecast that will support 4K video and is to be called either Chromecast Plus or Ultra. Not much else is known about the new 4K Chromecast but we're sure that there will be some new, faster hardware inside to support the higher streaming resolution and we wouldn't be surprised to see some additional software tweaks as well.
We would expect the company to keep the price either at the same price point or perhaps a few dollars more ($5 o $10 higher) and to sell it alongside the current model Chromecast or perhaps they will drop the price of the current model for standard HD TVs and price the 4K model at $35 which is the Chromecast price today before any rebates. So what do you think? Will you be picking up a 4K Chromecast? Interested in the new phones which appear to be replacing the 'Nexus' brand as Google's flagship devices? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below and of course it goes without saying that none of the above has been confirmed so it's all rumor and speculation until we see what comes on the 4th of October.KnowYourMobile
