Chromecast And iOS / Re: Chrome Browser Mirroring
« on: April 14, 2014, 06:05:25 AM »
Opening a video in Chrome can be cast to your TV with the plug-in. Also, what verification for each post?

Use your remote control and find input or source and select the port your dvd player is connected to like HDMI or component.

Chromecast And Android / Re: hudl software

I am not familiar with your hudl tablet but if you have access to the Google Play Store, the Chromecast app is available there. If not you could try to find the apk and installing it.

Chromecast Help / Re: ChromeCast and Hangouts incompatible?
« on: December 29, 2013, 04:57:33 AM »
If you have the Chrome browser on your pc and you install the Chromecast plugin, you should be able to cast anything displayed in the browser to your TV, remember that the plugin is not available for the mobile version of Chrome used on tablets and phones. As johna2u stated Hangouts is not a compatible app if you are trying to cast from a tablet or phone.

Chromecast And iOS / Re: IOS MIRRORING
« on: December 21, 2013, 05:55:34 AM »

The expectations for mirroring to a TV range from displaying the contents of the screen (webpage) to full video and audio (movie), which virtually eliminates multitasking. Now mention "Miracast" and you have what amounts to a wireless HDMI connection with full multitasking.

I can stream Amazon Prime video from my pc using the Google Chrome browser and the Chromecast plugin which works well on a wired network, but not as well when on a WiFi network. The Chromecast plugin allows you to cast whatever is open in your browser to your Chromecast device that is plugged into your TV. The mobile version of Chrome that is on my Android Tablet does not support the Chromecast plugin so it is not possible to watch Amazon Prime videos from my tablet. Although I am not familiar with the iPad, I feel that you would have the same limitation as I do on my Android tablet.

Chromecast Help / Re: Streaming Movies from Internet
« on: December 08, 2013, 08:17:19 AM »
I opened Chrome on my desktop computer selected an Amazon Prime movie, then clicked cast and the movie played fine on my big screen tv. I will admit that I have a 20 mb Internet connection, but I am assuming that the movies play fine on your computer. One thing does come to mind, if your computer is connected by WiFi to your network, try plugging it into one of the ethernet ports on your router. I will test mine with a laptop on WiFi later.

Glad to have you scraggy. With Google recently releasing the Chromecast sdk, I think we can look forward to some development for the Chromecast.

Are you using Google Chrome as your web browser, with the Chromecast plugin?

Chromecast General Discussions / Re: Chromecast choppy sound
« on: November 23, 2013, 06:15:40 AM »
First I suggest that you test video and audio streaming to a laptop or tablet attached to your router by WiFi, using the same video source. This will either target your WiFi as the issue or eliminate it.

Chromecast Apps / Re: Chromecast Comes to Pandora Internet Radio
« on: November 01, 2013, 03:06:05 AM »
Thanks for the verification bluezdawg. Also, I later noticed that the Cast icon is located differently in the tablet version of the Pandora app verses the phone version, good catch.
