If you've been waiting to buy a really top-notch audiophile quality bluetooth speaker then today is the perfect day to grab an awesome deal on one of two Denon bluetooth speakers.

First up is the Denon HEOS 1.  This is the smallest member of Denon's audiophile multiroom system that can be used either independently or networked with other HEOS speakers such as the HEOS 3, 5 or 7.  This is the newest version of the HEOS 1 and includes bluetooth built-in.  It offers awesome sound from its two drivers and while it is a plug-in unit, you can purchase the optional 'Go Pack' which includes a rechargeable lithium ion battery.  This new version of the HEOS 1 also includes high resolution audio support as well as support for streaming services such as Amazon Prime Music, Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM, SoundCloud, TIDAL and Rhapsody.  Normally priced at $199, there's a special sale going on right now for $100 off!  That's right...the HEOS 1 is just $99 for a limited time.  You can grab one at the link below.

Ok, so say you want an all-in-one unit that includes a built-in lithium battery and will provide you with knock your socks off sound in a portable package and you plan on using the speaker exclusively with your phone or tablet to stream music and don't care about multiroom networking.  If that's the case then the Denon Envaya DSB200 is the speaker for you.  This speaker will literally knock your socks off.  It has some of the most powerful bass and the fullest 'soundscape' and depth of sound of any portable bluetooth speaker i've ever heard.  Don't believe me?  Just read some of the reviews and they'll back me up.  This thing ROCKS.  It has a 100mm bass radiator in addition to two 57mm full range drivers and has all kinds of special electronics voodoo added in from high resolution aptX® CSR decoding, MaxxAudio® technology and even includes 4 different colored grill inserts to customize the look of the device.  Normally the Envaya DSB200 would set you back $199...and in fact that's the price it's still selling for on the Denon website...but it's on sale on Amazon right now for just $79.99!  That's an amazing deal.  If  you've been looking for a bluetooth speaker that has AWESOME sound quality...you need to grab one of these right now.  I'm serious...this thing will blow away any other portable bluetooth speaker even 3x the price.

Google introduced their most powerful Chromecast yet.  The Chromecast Ultra with faster performance, higher quality and most of all full support for 4K Ultra HD and HDR streaming and 4k devices.  Both Netflix and YouTube already offer 4K content and thousands of apps and hundreds of thousands of tv shows and video are available for viewing.  Able to be used either wirelessly connected to your tv through Wifi or through a built-in ethernet adapter for those preferring a wired connection, Chromecast Ultra offers faster performance than any previous Chromecast and supports just about all Android, Apple and Windows devices.  Chromecast Ultra will cost $69, so a bit more than the standard Chromecast which still sells for $35.  The Ultra should be available in the coming weeks.

Is the above picture of the 4K Chromecast Ultra?  According to the tech site VentureBeat it is and will sell for $69 and stream 4K video via HDMI to your home display.  It apparently features beefed up specs from last years Chromecast upgrade.  The firmware reportedly running the new Chromecast Ultra is version 1.21 and feature a new 'G' logo instead of the old Chromecast one.  At nearly twice the price of the regular Chromecast it's unclear whether the company will continue to sell the regular version at $35 or whether the 4K will completely displace it. We'll know more on Oct 4th.

A major leak hit the interwebs today regarding Google's plans for new devices this fall.  In addition to some new phones dubbed Pixel and Pixel XL will be a new version of the company's Chromecast that will support 4K video and is to be called either Chromecast Plus or Ultra.  Not much else is known about the new 4K Chromecast but we're sure that there will be some new, faster hardware inside to support the higher streaming resolution and we wouldn't be surprised to see some additional software tweaks as well.

We would expect the company to keep the price either at the same price point or perhaps a few dollars more ($5 o $10 higher) and to sell it alongside the current model Chromecast or perhaps they will drop the price of the current model for standard HD TVs and price the 4K model at $35 which is the Chromecast price today before any rebates.  So what do you think?  Will you be picking up a 4K Chromecast?  Interested in the new phones which appear to be replacing the 'Nexus' brand as Google's flagship devices?  Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below and of course it goes without saying that none of the above has been confirmed so it's all rumor and speculation until we see what comes on the 4th of October.

Ever feel like going on adventure and wish there was a resource that could instantly tell you all the cool stuff around you to do?  Well that's what Local Guru does.  It's an amazing new app...really more than an app...a great resource...that let's you instantly see what cool adventures, activities and interests are close by and hooks you up with a 'guru' to lead you on your adventure or activity.  Using your location you can see a list of adventures led by a local expert or 'guru'.  Perhaps you want to take a hike, or learn to surf or go horseback riding or a mountain biking adventure.  It's a great tool to explore wherever you are and geared to the outdoors adventurer in us all.  Even better, it lets you filter for price and proximity to your location.  You also can click on the map to any location and do a search in that area to see what is available in other areas.  Just think of the possibilities of planning a trip or vacation and being able to tap the location on the map and book a cool adventure where you're going to be.

Now the founder of 'Local Guru' is a great guy named Joseph I had the pleasure of meeting recently in Santa Monica.  Joseph and his team put a lot of effort into procuring only quality adventures and activities led by knowledgeable experts in whatever the adventure is.  The app is constantly being improved and refined and new features are being introduced all the time to ensure that the adventures you go on are of the highest quality.  Give 'Local Guru' a try and if you have any ideas to make it even more useful feel free to send them a note.  Make sure any local experts and 'gurus' you know sign up to offer their activities through Local Guru's app and help spread the word and make Local Guru the national sensation it deserves to be.  Grab the free app at the link below.

How many times have you had your phone or tablet with you and found you really wished you had a portable keyboard to write out a long message, email or perhaps even get some work done while at a cafe.  You struggle to compose your work on the touchscreen and you've thought of buying one of those wireless bluetooth keyboards but always felt they were almost as big as a traditional keyboard...so why bother?  Well here's a great option that is both small enough to leave in your bag, backpack or purse without ever feeling like you're lugging around a keyboard, while also providing a quality typing experience that is very similar to the high quality Microsoft Surface keyboard that is widely acclaimed.

Microsoft's foldable portable keyboard gives you just about everything you'd look for in such a device...portability as well as tactile physical keys and great battery life.  What Microsoft has done is split the keyboard into two sections, with an inch wide middle canyon that it folds across.  Now some of the reviews mention that the key size has been slightly altered in order to fit this configuration and that it does a take a bit of adjustment to get used to it.  But after using it for a little while you quickly become accustomed to the modified layout and are able to type quite handily on it...certainly a great improvement to typing on a tiny screen of a phone or tablet.  Normally the Microsoft foldable keyboard lists for $99 and if you look around you can find it in the $70-$80 range, nut just for today Best Buy has it as one of their 'Daily Deals' for only $49.99.  That's a bargain and the lowest price we've ever seen this cool device.  If you're been looking for a quality, super portable keyboard to use with your phone or tablet that gets up to 3 months battery life between charge...grab one at the link below before the price goes back up.

Android Pay is Google's answer to Apple Pay and Samsung Pay.  Basically you register a credit or debit card to your Android Pay account, and then you can use your mobile device, whether Android watch or phone to pay for items with simply a tap at any store that accepts the Android Pay Service.  This is a growing list that includes everything from McDonald's to JetBlue to Office Depot to Macy's and many many more.  Google is running a promotion right now to encourage people to sign up.  After your 10th tap to pay with Android Pay you can get yourself either a selection from the Google Play Music Store or a free Chromecast.  You can see details about the promotion here..  Overall we'd say if you were thinking of trying out the Android Pay service anyway, this is a nice 'perk' to encourage you to do.  The promo runs til the end of February.  Happy Chromecasting!

Due to overwhelming requests over the past year we're happy to announce our newest mobile device community, http://iPhoneCommunity.net ; a forum and news site dedicated to the iPhone.  While our initial communities were dedicated to Android users, more and more of our members have informed us they have multiple platforms and OS's in their homes and many told us they would love to have an iPhone community here as well.   While we've dabbled with some Apple device forums for specific devices and the iPad before, we've never had a general iPhone forum that will cover all iPhones until now. So if you do have iPhones in your home, are knowledgeable about the iOS platform or are just curious and would like to learn more, please register over at http://iPhoneCommunity.net and help us build the newest and greatest iPhone resource on the web!  Don't worry, we'll still be posting to and maintaining all of our Android sites as well.  This is just our latest edition so come on by if you're an Apple aficionado!

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/5UCCSXoIpd4" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/5UCCSXoIpd4</a>

We've been looking for a good video review and demonstration of the 2nd generation Google Chromecast as well as Chromecast Audio and Android Authority has done just that.  Here we see the design changes of the 2015 edition of the Chromecast and the benefits of it.  We also are introduced to Google's new wireless audio solution...the Chromecast Audio.  The Chromecast Audio lets you turn your ordinary speakers into wireless speakers that similarly to the standard Chromecast can be controlled by your Android mobile device.  It's really a boon to people that already have a great stereo setup and speakers they are happy with and don't want to have to go out and purchase a dedicated pair of bluetooth or wireless enabled speakers.  For $35 you simply buy the Chromecast Audio and it's done.

The Chromecast app from last year has been updated to include support for the Chromecast Audio as well as some new features.  You now have more options to customize the screen background, include news, headlines and pictures from Google and more.  The internals of the Chromecast have also been updated with new hardware that now supports 5Ghz wireless rather than the older 2.4Ghz.  Also the processor has been upgraded and as the reviewer mentions in the video 1080p video from a service such as HBOGO streams instantly crystal clear when it used to require some buffer time with the older Chromecast.  There's more info about the Chromecast Audio and Chromecast if you watch the video above so I highly recommend you do.  Now both the 2nd generation Chromecast and Chromecast Audio run $35 apiece which is a steal considering their functionality.  If you don't mind having slightly slower streaming but overall the same functionality of the newer Chromecast you can save a few bucks and still pick up the original Chromecast for a bit less.  I've included links below for all three so pick your poison and start Chromecasting today!

There's not one, but two Chromecast promotions going on right now that when combined end up being quite a deal.  First off, Google is offering any new Chromecast or Chromecast Audio buyer $20 in free Google Play Credit to use for your choice of music, movies or apps.   This offer is good for all new Chromecast purchases as long as they are activated by January 2nd, 2016.  But that's not all.  BestBuy is also offering their own promotion.  You can save $5 on a single Chromecast (now $30 instead of $35) or $15 on two Chromecast or Chromecast Audios when bought together for just $55 for both.  If you consider in addition to this discount you factor in the $20 in Google Play credit you're in effect getting two Chromecasts for $35...the normal price of one.  The Google Play Credit is good no matter where you purchase your new Chromecast as long as it's activated by 1/2/2016.  We've included the link below to Best Buy's Chromecast page where you can get this deal.  Then, once your Chromecasts arrive simply set them up and navigate over to Google's Chromecast page to redeem for your free $20 in Google Play Credit!
